It's July 1st!!!
This year's going by so fast I'm still spinning... I don't think we've played out more than a few times this year - we decided to focus on our writing. So picture us sitting there, focusing on our writing. And focusing, and focusing... now our eyes are getting heavy... the few words on the page are starting to blur.... now we're slowly sliding off our chairs and crashing to the floor in catatonic heaps....
Hey we're really trying!
It's been a busy and wonderful year so far. Bradley's produced some excellent cds at Redboot Ranch and is out playing most every night of the week with different artists and bands (check out is website at BradleyKopp.com)...

I've joined up with Soul Purpose and get to sing backup with one of my best friends and favorite singer/songwriters of all time, Ms Sara Hickman... it's a blast and it means alot too, because Sara really has something to say, and when she says it people listen, and they're inspired and entertained at the same time. Reunion (my second family) has been busy too, with lots of fun gigs and parties (we're still at the Oasis once a month and it's been so cool because we've had great weather and great audiences every time (I feel bad that folks have to wait over an hour to get in - but it sure means alot to us that they're there). All our upcoming shows are posted at the Reunionband.com website.


Groove Labs has been doing some fun shows too, and the band has been kickin butt... we've decided that this is Corprate Rock Therapy. It's really fun to be part of the process and see business people, who are used to more sedate daily meetings and planning sessions to cut loose IN THE AFTERNOON - COMPLETELY SOBER - and just let it all go and rock out.


I LOVE MY JOB - I hope everyone reading this can say that. It's taken years for me to be able to say it unequivocably. But sometimes it's ok to get what you ask for. I work with wonderful, fun, talented people who I respect and admire. I am learning more and more about studio engineering every day. I'm doing lots of voice work and realizing dream after dream.
So this is good. And I am very grateful.


There's a pretty well-kept-secret-awesome-waterhole near us and we've been able to appreciate the velvetty warm water of the Blanco up close and personal lately. What could be better than kicking back and listening to the cicadas, watching the big blue Texas sky overhead, soaking up the (ok it IS hot as hell but when you're out on the Blanco who cares?) sun (slathered in SP 30 of course) and feeling that ever so slight breeze....
In fact that's just where I'm headed right now.
